Illusions Of Forever

Forever is an illusion when it comes to love, for it was never about those who came and those who went. Forever is in the moments that cannot fade, in the laughs that echo in your mind and the memories that cannot be stolen. We cling to the idea of forever, we try to hold on to people, hoping they'll stay, but they never do. Life takes them away or we drift apart. Forever lives in the moments we share that remain untouched. Those memories cannot change, they cannot leave, they are frozen in time, echoes of love that once lived. That is what forever really is, not promises made between souls, but the still memories of what once mattered most. A melody that haunts with its' familiar aching, a smell that takes us back to a lost time, a face in the distance that reminds us of someone we love. Loved ones leave, but the moments we shared live on. That's the only sort of forever we are meant to have, a forever that never lasts but only lingers.

 Dear Ryan,  You're delightful and a real treat to be around, a regular jack who's so down to earth. What you see is what you get with you. No pretenses, no false fronts, no ulterior motives or ill intentions. You're one to say what you're thinking with your eyes, you can never hide behind lies, and your sighs give you away. Although you're an exceptional actor, you shed those roles only to recreate yourself whenever you feel you need to. I suspect you've got some secrets and perhaps you very well could be a demon in disguise. But I seriously doubt the dark side of you isn't just as beautiful as the light side.
