Small Clown Car

 11/9/94

I don't know the first thing about writing in a journal. I just needed something to put my thoughts down on.

Today was almost like any other day. I got up at 6:30am and got ready for Seminary. Our teacher is Bro. Mark Hammer, got a few screws loose, but overall ok. We had a scripture chase for Seminary Bucks. After that I had to pile in Amber Shoopman's small clown car. Six people I think is the max we could get in that noisy thing. The drive to RHS was short, but long. Had a test in first hour, Physical Science. I studied, but still I don't think I did too hot. Second hour is laid back time for me. We watched a movie called 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape.' Third hour, English One, I went to the media center to gather some statistics on youth driving. Amber Kirkham is the girl in the class that I can talk to, I like that, not that she's good looking or something.

Nope, my girl's Jessica DuCharme. She's very interesting, unique, cute and overall fun. I only really spent time with her once. When my sister invited her over to stay the night. So I had Reichert come over. We played cards. Then we snuck out Venessa's window and walked up the road. Jessica's hand in mine, we walked, talking about how much trouble we'd be in if we didn't get home, so we all went back. I was tired and coughing from the cold and being nervous. Jess comforted me though. We laid and talked and held hands some more. Not much to talk about though. I feel peace and comfort when I'm with her, she's truthfully my first, #1 love. Then, before I went to bed, she kissed me. Wow, huh?! Well, she's really amazing.

Oh, darn it, I was talking about today and got all messed up talking about Jess again. Well, I'll write more tomorrow, it's late.

Girl Who Deserves A Chance

Ryan, You asked me once, "Why do people love me?" I'll tell you why... Your energy is what makes people fall in love with you. It's how you make them feel. It is not your body, your money or your looks that make you magnetic. What makes you unforgettable is how you transform the hearts of people around you with your simple presence. That is your energy, that is your power, and that is why people love you. Jessica,     the girl who deserves a chance...

Backstage Stooge

Dear Ryan,  You're delightful and a real treat to be around, a regular jack who's so down to earth. What you see is what you get with you. No pretenses, no false fronts, no ulterior motives or ill intentions. You're one to say what you're thinking with your eyes, you can never hide behind lies, and your sighs give you away. Although you're an exceptional actor, you shed those roles only to recreate yourself whenever you feel you need to. I suspect you've got some secrets and perhaps you very well could be a demon in disguise. But I seriously doubt the dark side of you isn't just as beautiful as the light side. You're no one's fool and you're fooling no one. You've simply got to walk in any room and your energy speaks for itself. You're one of a kind, and don't tell anyone, but I think my heart might become rather fond of you. Your co-star and backstage stooge, Jonah D.
