"Just because he's gone doesn't mean you can't bring him back for a little while, the memory of him at least. You can bring him back by painting a picture with your words and your memories, breathing his essence back into your existence for just a little while. There's nothing wrong with that."
"You're right. Even though he's gone, I've been doing just that. I want to remember all the best things that he was by allowing his best traits to shine through when I'm shaping his story into being. My thoughts bring him back into my world, and there's a story to be told. Even though he's gone. I feel him there when I hear a song he played for me, and sometimes a single note brings him alive again. As if he's in the room with me."
"That's sad, but beautiful at the same time, and also healthy, believe it or not. It will heal you. Even though he's gone, you can keep parts of him alive by giving all the love you had for him a forever place in your life, a seat at your table for the ghost of the man you loved, and a glorious chapter in your book. Stories like yours shouldn't die, and I'm thrilled you're telling yours."
