Barefoot In Deep Summer

"Hey Ryan, let's run!!" Jonah instigated, with a sexy wink.

We were barefoot, in the heat of deep summer. Still boys, not yet men in all senses of the word. We'd been smoking joints all afternoon, sweaty and desperate to cool off.

He took off at wicked a pace. He whipped his head back over his shoulder. "Come on, Ryan, catch me if you can...!!!"

He had teased me on and off all summer, quick hot glances, and fast brushes of body contact, turning me on, then turning me off at the same time. Something told me he was just as confused as I. But we both knew we were wildly curious about each other.

I took off in a heartbeat, up for the challenge to chase this enigimatically sexy man. My bare feet on the hot pavement burned just enough to quicken my pace.

The sun was in the west and Jonah was eluding me around every corner, laughing at me as I couldn't quite keep up. Then he disappeared completely.

He ducked into a grove of trees, then down to the river. I tracked him there. It was twilight by this time. He lay on the grass, waiting for me.

"You've got the heat, Ryan..." He panted as he caught his breath.

"As do you, Jonah. As do you!" My lungs were on fire, and so was my heart.

"Lay down with me."

"Yes sir..."

We lay there, in the cool grass and the dying light. No words for a time, just the beating of our hearts.

Then he spoke. "Ryan, there's something unique and special about you. I feel you on levels I don't feel with most people. You make me question myself, and I like that."

"If I could choose words now, I would repeat those exact words for you, Jonah. I feel exactly the same about you. I feel you, Jonah. So deep that it frightens me. But I also love that it frightens me."

Girl Who Deserves A Chance

Ryan, You asked me once, "Why do people love me?" I'll tell you why... Your energy is what makes people fall in love with you. It's how you make them feel. It is not your body, your money or your looks that make you magnetic. What makes you unforgettable is how you transform the hearts of people around you with your simple presence. That is your energy, that is your power, and that is why people love you. Jessica,     the girl who deserves a chance...

Backstage Stooge

Dear Ryan,  You're delightful and a real treat to be around, a regular jack who's so down to earth. What you see is what you get with you. No pretenses, no false fronts, no ulterior motives or ill intentions. You're one to say what you're thinking with your eyes, you can never hide behind lies, and your sighs give you away. Although you're an exceptional actor, you shed those roles only to recreate yourself whenever you feel you need to. I suspect you've got some secrets and perhaps you very well could be a demon in disguise. But I seriously doubt the dark side of you isn't just as beautiful as the light side. You're no one's fool and you're fooling no one. You've simply got to walk in any room and your energy speaks for itself. You're one of a kind, and don't tell anyone, but I think my heart might become rather fond of you. Your co-star and backstage stooge, Jonah D.
