The Devil's Rain

The rain came down in hard separate sheets, thick and then soft, hard and then light. Through my eyes though, the rain was shuttered in slow motion, like droplets of honey hanging in the air, falling gracefully slow to the ground, where they bounced on the dark forest floor.

I wasn't alone. There was a man out there in the dark, dancing in the rain, laughing with fiendish delight, out there in the night. He'd brought me here, to the forest where we'd been before. This time however, was more alive and intense than the last night we'd spent together, here in the dark, wet forest.

"I want to take you back out there, where we were before, Ryan, please?" Jonah asked me, with lust and desire in his eyes. "I remember how you made me feel, and I want to feel that again. I know you felt something, too. We didn't have to say a word, that's why it was so beautiful with you. We understood each other in the silence. I've never felt that way with anyone, ever. So, please, let's go there together again...?!"

I agreed, feeling my heart lurch in my chest, and my member lurch in my pants. "Yes, Jonah, let's go there again..."

So, there in the twilight, we arrived, to the camp site where we'd been once before. Where we'd stared at each other across a dancing midnight fire, awakening desires inside both our souls.

"Here..." He said, holding out his damp palm, with a tiny diamond shaped purple pill inside. "Take this. I'll take one, too."

"Alright." I surrendered, snatching the pill and swallowing without a second thought. "I'm totally trusting you Jonah, don't you let me down..."

The twilight melted into deeper twilight as we wandered the forest, weaving among sage brush and pine trees. The brisk night breeze felt like fire in my lungs, and I could taste the wilderness on my lips. Everything was alive, and I could feel everything, for miles. More than anything, I could feel Jonah's soul, dancing with mine. I never felt so connected with any one person, place, space or time, ever. It was immaculately spiritual and surreal.

He'd disappeared into the evening's last light, when the devil's rain began to fall, fast and hard, deep and drenching. The rain somehow cut us apart, where only moments before our souls had been connected. I heard him not far off, cackling with ecstatic laughter.

"God! Ryan!! Can you feel that?!?" Thunder clapped and lightening struck the ground very, very close to where we were. The forest floor beneath my feet jumped with angry energy. The entire area lit up with heavenly white light. I could see Jonah's silhouette with arms stretched up to the heavens. I shattered the darkness with a scream of horror. Then there was silence. I lay on the soaking forest floor, frozen with fear.

"Jonah...?!?" I whispered desperately into the wicked rain. "Where are you...!?!"

He cloaked himself around my drenched body. "I'm here, Ryan, I'm here..."

Girl Who Deserves A Chance

Ryan, You asked me once, "Why do people love me?" I'll tell you why... Your energy is what makes people fall in love with you. It's how you make them feel. It is not your body, your money or your looks that make you magnetic. What makes you unforgettable is how you transform the hearts of people around you with your simple presence. That is your energy, that is your power, and that is why people love you. Jessica,     the girl who deserves a chance...

Backstage Stooge

Dear Ryan,  You're delightful and a real treat to be around, a regular jack who's so down to earth. What you see is what you get with you. No pretenses, no false fronts, no ulterior motives or ill intentions. You're one to say what you're thinking with your eyes, you can never hide behind lies, and your sighs give you away. Although you're an exceptional actor, you shed those roles only to recreate yourself whenever you feel you need to. I suspect you've got some secrets and perhaps you very well could be a demon in disguise. But I seriously doubt the dark side of you isn't just as beautiful as the light side. You're no one's fool and you're fooling no one. You've simply got to walk in any room and your energy speaks for itself. You're one of a kind, and don't tell anyone, but I think my heart might become rather fond of you. Your co-star and backstage stooge, Jonah D.
